When arriving in the Marine Corps Recruit Depot Parris Island area by plane, the nearest major airport is the Hilton Head Airport, located about 14 miles from the base. Another major airport is the Savannah/Hilton Head International Airport which is located about 37 miles from Marine Corps Recruit Depot Parris Island. There are no shuttles or public transportation from the nearby airports. Take a left toward Beaufort on Hwy 170. After crossing Board River Bridge, merge to the right on Savannah Hwy. Merge right onto Hwy 802, Parris Island Gateway and take the exit to MCRD Parris Island.
